Another year has flown by. A year were NFT’s and Dogecoin where the talk of the town. A year where many coins reached their ATH and where Ethereum laid the foundation for the 2.0 network. For us, 2021 was a year where DOGE exploded in May and where we welcomed a lot of new people to the team. A year where we celebrate exciting new partnerships. So let’s zoom out and see what 2021 was about in this year’s recap.
Crypto all-time-high’s
It was a great year for cryptocurrency. A lot of all-time-high’s got breached and currencies like Cardano and Ethereum laid the foundation for the upcoming years. The most headlines went, of course, to Bitcoin which reached its all-time-high of €59,716 on the 10th of November. Bitcoin is currently 32% removed from its ATH. Are most coins rallying for 2022? Partnership PSV / Heroes Den Bosch
We were extremely proud to announce that Anycoin Direct is the official crypto partner of PSV Eindhoven. This partnership is unique due to the fact that the entire sponsorship is paid in Bitcoin, a scoop in the European football scene. Although there were multiple foreign parties in the race, PSV deliberately selected for a partner in the ‘Brainport’ (Eindhoven) area. Via the partnership, PSV and Anycoin Direct want to increase brand- and crypto awareness in The Netherlands.
Another partnership in the same vein is that with Heroes Den Bosch, where the entire sponsorship is again entirely paid in Bitcoin. Also an European first in the basketball world. In the upcoming two seasons, the Anycoin Direct brand will be displayed on the Heroes uniform.
New coins listed: USDT, UNI, LINK
This year we added three currencies to our portfolio. Tether (USDT), the number one stablecoin, was a much requested currency by our customers. Other additions were ‘the oracle currency’ Chainlink (LINK) and popular ‘unicorn’ Uniswap (UNI). All currencies can be bought, sold and traded in our Anycoin Direct order flow.
In 2022, we want to shake things up. Listening to your feedback, we hear a lot of requests for certain projects and also cryptocurrencies that are ‘hot’ for a shorter period of time. Listening to your feedback, we want to list and focus on a lot more currencies in the upcoming year. Stay tuned!
