changes to our platform

In preparation of our upcoming registration with De Nederlandsche Bank (the central bank of The Netherlands), Anycoin Direct will be implementing certain changes to its platform. The first change, the delisting of privacy-currencies, will be implemented directly. The second change, mandatory ID verification, will be implemented next month. These two changes entail the following:

Delisting of privacy related currencies

Starting today, privacy-cryptocurrencies will be de-activated on our website. Meaning, that customers can no longer buy, sell or trade the following currencies:

The deactivation of privacy-related currencies is one of the measures we are implementing to obtain this official registration. To combat fraud, money laundering and the funding of terrorism, private currencies will be removed from our platform. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Mandatory ID verification

ID verification will be required if you want to buy and sell cryptocurrency on our platform. Already got your ID document uploaded and verified? Great! Then you’re all set and no further actions are required. Those who haven’t uploaded their ID document yet, will receive an email in the upcoming month. This step will also be implemented due to the AMLD5 regulations and will be initiated by all Dutch cryptocurrency brokers to combat money laundering and the funding of terrorism.

We, of Anycoin Direct, see this upcoming registration as a huge step towards professionalization of the industry and are excited to be part of it. If you have questions, or if we can help you with you, know that you can always contact our support team.
