Today, we are launching our new Ordinals Inscription service that allows anyone to easily and quickly mint NFTs on the Bitcoin blockchain. With Anycoin Ordinal Inscriptions , you can now immortalize your wedding pictures or capture all your favorite memes and gifs on the blockchain.

How does it work?

Through Anycoin Ordinals, anyone can upload an image and send it to a Taproot wallet. This can be done by selecting an image and by entering a wallet address. The image will be minted on the blockchain after paying the correct fees. Once the transaction is confirmed, the NFT can be found in the specified wallet address and will be available on the blockchain.

"The rapid innovation regarding Bitcoin NFTs fascinated us. We found out that the actual minting process of NFTs was not so easy. Especially for people new in the market. With Ordinals Inscriptions, anyone can instantly create an NFT" - Bram Ceelen, CO-Founder of Anycoin Direct.

What are Ordinal Inscriptions?

Ordinals is a new protocol that makes it possible to capture NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on the Bitcoin blockchain. These NFTs are not just limited to images but can contain multiple types of data - including unique inscriptions such as videos, gifs and sounds. Anycoin Ordinals Inscriptions currently supports images and gifs.

This new technique is made possible by Bitcoin's Taproot upgrade. According to the Ordinal Theory Handbook, individual satoshis can be inscribed with all types of data, creating unique Bitcoin-native digital artefacts. These digital artefacts, or NFTs, can be stored and transferred from Bitcoin wallet to Bitcoin wallet. These digital inscriptions are as durable, immutable, secure and decentralized as Bitcoin itself.
