What is Dogecoin?
Dogecoin (DOGE) is a cryptocurrency that started out as a meme in 2014 on online forums such as Reddit and 4chan. Dogecoin is based on Litecoin meaning that it is also a Proof of Work based coin. Due to a unique implementation of this technology, Dogecoin is able to attain even faster transaction speeds. The logo of DOGE is a Japanese Shiba Inu dog. The dog's image plays a big part in the coin's popularity.
