We are happy to share that our platform is officially registered with the Financial Market Authority (FMA) in Austria. A new milestone for Anycoin Direct, one that we’re very proud of. The FMA is an independent supervisory authority and supervises all financial services that want to participate in the Austrian market.

AMLD5

Austria has implemented the 5th Anti-Money Laundering Directive (AMLD5). As a direct result, crypto services operating in Austria must apply for an official license to operate at the FMA. Via this license, the FMA wants to make the market more transparent and more secure.

With this registration, we can expand our services within Austria. In addition, we can accommodate existing customers better and more efficient. The collaboration also means that our operators have to report suspicious activities and therefore, help the FMA prevent money laundering activities. Together, we want to build a secure crypto ecosystem, promoting safety and transparency.

For most people, the whole concept of virtual currencies is still relatively new, which is likely to result in some form of uncertainty when you are investing parts of your own savings. That is why you need a service you can rely on. Regulation ensures that consumers can buy cryptocurrency via services they can trust.

Anycoin Direct is a Dutch cryptocurrency exchange service that focuses on the European market since 2013. During that period, Anycoin Direct has become the most reviewed cryptocurrency platform in Europe, with over 14.000 reviews on Trustpilot. Anycoin Direct believes that digital currencies and blockchain technology will change the future, one way or another. The fundamental innovation of blockchain technology will bring a lot of opportunities regarding the way our current digital world is structured. This means a change in infrastructure, logistics and financial technologies as we know them now.
